Let me start by saying - AAAAAAAAHHHHHH
Creating this audio story took me so far out of my comfort zone, I had to use GPS to get back.
First of all, I've been afraid of bees my whole life.
Secondly, I am deathly afraid of Premiere Pro and Audition.

Luckily, the subject of my story had a super chill energy that was so infectious I didn't even freak when an unsuspecting worker bee stung the beesjesus out of me.

I also have a talented classmate who patiently walked me through the process of recording, cutting and merging audio files to make something others might want to listen to.
I had the idea to talk to Johnny Leach after reading some of his Facebook posts about his apiary. His page was humorous and interesting. It also made me want to learn more about bees and possibly become his best friend.
Although I was able to overcome my apiphobia (Bees are scary) and technophobia (Technology is terrifying), I couldn't face my biggest fear: phonophobia (I hate my own voice).
The aforementioned classmate and broadcast/journalism major, Creighton Branch, lent his voice to my story. His golden-toned modulation saved me from disaster!
